The United States Air Force (USAF) is the aerial warfare branch of the United States Military. The USAF has been linked to the development of Skynet in various timelines.

USAF in Terminator[]

Original timeline[]

In Original timeline, SAC-NORAD are responsible for implementing Skynet. SAC was the Strategic Air Command at Offutt Air Force Base near Omaha, Nebraska, while NORAD headquarters is located at Peterson Air Force Base, close to Colorado Springs, Colorado, with a nuclear bunker and alternate command center at nearby Cheyenne Mountain.

The revolutionary microprocessor invented by Miles Dyson working for Cyberdyne Systems is used to upgrade the United States Air Force's stealth bombers to fully unmanned platforms. After this upgrade, they fly with perfect operational records.[1]

The New John Connor Chronicles timeline[]

In John's World timeline, the old Specialist who would assumed the identity of "Lee Portis" arrived Cannon Air Force Base near Clovis, New Mexico, in 1997. Hour of the Wolf

Rise of the Machines timeline[]

In Rise of the Machines timeline, the United States Air Force contracted with Cyber Research Systems, who purchased patents from Cyberdyne Systems, to develop Skynet and other advanced weapons, including Terminators and Hunter-Killers such as T-1, T-600, T-800, and Hunter-Killer Aerial Weapons Platform. Lieutenant General Robert Brewster was in charge of the project.[2]

In the alternate original timeline of Kyla's World, Cyber Research Systems main facility was located in Edwards Air Force Base on the desert east of Los Angeles and it was one of the major Resistance locations.[2]

The Sarah Connor Chronicles timeline[]

In The Sarah Connor Chronicles timeline, USAF sponsored a chess tournament, in which Andy Goode brought the Turk, an artificial intelligence he created, to the contest.[3][4]

Salvation timeline[]

In Salvation timeline, United States Air Force purchased Cyberdyne Systems and took over the development of Skynet, possibly established the company Skynet Research, at a certain time after the death of Dr. Serena Kogan.[5]

During the Future War, the base of Tech-Com was located in Vandenberg Air Force Base, California, where used to be stationed by 30th Space Wing.[6]

Dark Fate timeline[]

After deciding to use kill box tactics with EMP device to destroy the Rev-9, Sarah Connor suggested one of her contacts, Major Dean from Bingham Air Force Base, could get them the weapon. After rendezvous with Dean, the group was attacked by the Rev-9 in a helicopter. With Dean's help, they managed to enter the air base and leave in a C-5 cargo plane. Terminator: Dark Fate
