Time Door

The Time Door

The Time Door is a time traveling machine in Salvation timeline and it is an equivalent to the Time Displacement Equipment from the Original timeline. During the Machine War, Skynet developed the Time Door, which was located in the Skynet Complex in Colorado along with Skynet's mainframe.

History

Skynet had successfully completed the construction of the Time Door in 2029. The Final Battle issue 1 Later, Dr. Serena Kogan sent a text message to herself in the 2000s via the Time Door. The Final Battle issue 2

After the temporal control was stablized, The Final Battle issue 4 Skynet had Dr. Kogan send a Terminator to 1984 in order to terminate Sarah Connor with a backup Terminator to kill 10-year-old John Connor. When Dr. Kogan was about to send the three New Terminators, Skynet told her to leave immediately as the facility was breached by the Resistance and she was too important to be captured. After the Resistance arrived, Simon took the control of the Time Door while John Connor ordered Kyle Reese to travel to 1984 to save Sarah. Connor then captured a T-800 with a trap by overcurrent The Final Battle issue 5 and had Simon reprogram it before sending it to the past to protect his younger self. The Final Battle issue 6

As Thomas Parnell had gone rogue and planned to wipe out not only the Resistance, but also Skynet, Skynet decided to ask Connor for help as it woke up Marcus Wright. Connor's strike team arrived at the facility again but they were pinned down by Parnell's Endoskeleton's. However, only Simon managed to reach the Time door and travelled to Houston, 2003. Parnell then ordered the three New Terminators to protect his past self and sent them to Dallas, 2003 through the Time Door. The Final Battle issue 8

After the War ended, Marcus, possibly with Skynet's help, found the Terminator that killed John Connor under Parnell's order. John had it reprogrammed by Dr. Kogan and sent it to 2004. As the Terminator was sent through, Connor destroyed the Time Door. However, he forgot to notify Skynet about his decision. The Final Battle issue 10

Notes

• The Time Door is powered by a fusion reactor. Similarly, the Skynet in The Terminator: Dawn of Fate utilizes cold fusion as power source in 2029.
• Different from Time Displacement Equipment, radio transmission can be sent to the past through Time Door as Dr. Serena Kogan sent computer text messages to her past self.
