Publisher Summary[]
An Original Concept Scenario.
This pre-Judgment Day mission, circa 1980s, is designed for 3-6 players.
Mission Briefing: A T-660, sent back in time during Skynet's early time displacement tests, with a long-term prime directive that the Resistance only recently uncovered. The PCs will need to head back to the 1980s and stop E0656.T before it can cause irreparable harm to the timeline.
Plot summary[]
Before Skynet targeted Sarah Connor, it tested its time displacement technology by trying to send several T-660 units back in time. One T-660 made it to the past, arriving damaged but functional in the 1980s. This particular T-660, E0656.T, is believed to be the infamous serial killer "Rubberface" by Sean Sullivan, a Resistance engineer and one of John Connor's trusted men. Sullivan thinks this T-660 played a significant role in Skynet's rise, targeting individuals on Halloween. The mission for the PCs is to track down Rubberface, if it exists, and prevent any further killings. If that fails, their secondary objective is to protect the alleged future targets, starting with AI specialist Jack Stephens.
The PCs arrive in the past during Devil's Night and, after dealing with some local troublemakers, are targeted by Rubberface as they visit a Halloween store called Spiros' Spooktacular. After surviving the encounter, they encounter Mac Hannah, a Vietnam vet obsessed with the Rubberface murders, who steers them toward a junkyard complex where he believes the killer resides. Rubberface finds them again and brutally kills Hannah. The PCs then need to decide whether to confront Rubberface at the scrapyard or reach Jack Stephens before Rubberface does.
