"Good Ending"[]
I’m pretty sure the good ending is Jacob Rivers going back in time himself to help himself save humanity.
It’s the ultimate timeline twist that could have happened in the Terminator universe.
Like Reese sacrificing himself for love. The game not only showed you why Reese was the way he was, after everything he had been through.
But now it’s even one step further.
Now a character chooses to exist in a solitary eternal timeloop to save humanity, A character which was you, the player, all along. Similar to how Terminator fans exist in a perpetual timeloop of revering T1 and T2 and discounting the others. USMC-DN38416 (talk) 02:03, 24 June 2021 (UTC)
- Even it is subjective, the section should NOT be removed as it is still part of the game. What we should do is to add the other ending and change the section title. --TX55TALK 03:33, 24 June 2021 (UTC)
I agree. The good vs bad endings of the game depend on what happens to the supporting characters. Not what the fate is of Jacob Rivers.
Him going back or leaving the Resistance is played out as equally impactful in the cutscenes. Neither is good or bad.
Although (personally) I felt yourself being the shadowy figure you saw throughout the game was more inline with “Terminator” tropes. But that is subjective.
But yeah I agree we should just include both “fates” of Jacob Rivers without saying one is better than the other.
PS: one thing to note though: if you search Google for “Who is the “stranger” in T: Resistance”? It answers: Jacob Rivers. USMC-DN38416 (talk) 03:37, 24 June 2021 (UTC)
