6 months earlier vs 6 months later[]

I was under the belief that the scenes with Derek and Lauren were 6 months later and the scenes with Sarah and Cameron were in the present. Think about it; how can 6 months pass from "Self Made Man" without anything happening? What would've happened between John and Riley and Jesse's plot against Cameron? Did everything suddenly go quiet for 6 whole months? I seriously doubt it. I think it needs to be clarified that the events at the cabin took place in the present and that Derek's scenes occured 6 months later (during the timeline of Season 3, for example). The episode starts with Derek and Lauren and then cuts to Sarah and Cameron and says, "Six Months Earlier". So I'm guessing that the birth is happening shortly after "Self Made Man", and the earlier scenes happened six months earlier. The Producer's Blog hints at this, saying "it made the most sense to tell the story of Derek Reese and his multiple connections to the Fields family in the past, present, and future." [1]. --Kanamekun 17:52, 10 December 2008 (UTC)

So Season 2 has encompassed 6 months? How the hell did that happen? Everything between the Pilot and D&D occured in 1 month. That doesn't fly with me. Someone needs to set the record straight, cos' there's no way that episode 201-211 could've been stretched over 6 months. How could John and Riley be together for that long and only just start kissing? Why hasn't Cameron gone crazy yet? Darth Raivon 19:01, 10 December 2008 (UTC)

There are very few time indicators in the episode, and the previous one was also kind of a standalone episode. Maybe the next episode will shed some light on this. But I do get the feeling that Season 2 is spreading out over more time than Season 1... maybe that's partly because Season 1 was so few episodes? --Kanamekun 19:17, 10 December 2008 (UTC)
I remember reading that the first five episodes of Season 2 were actually supposed to be in season 1, but everything got messed because of the writers' strike. On a side note, TSCC is starting to take that whole "Terminator of the Week" route. The series needs another regular Terminator character. But, back to the main point. The last few episodes have seemed kind of unrelated, and with an ambiguous time period for each one. It's getting confusing, and I must admit, "Alpine Fields" was pretty lame. -Sec_1971 19:34, 10 December 2008 (UTC)

Derek and Jess[]

I got the impression that this episode does NOT feature their first meeting. From previous episodes, it seemed Derek was clearly contemplating suicide when they first met. This particular encounter seems to indicate that they are already more-than-familiar with each other and that her comment about his fly being undone was an unusual way to say hello and good way to prove that she's really her (and not metal).

Sydney[]

I don't have time to re-watch the ep, but is Sydney David's or Roger's child? — Jeiara 08:20, 9 December 2008 (UTC)

I've only seen the ep once, so can't say for sure. I thought they maybe established that she wasn't having sex with David? Something about his bad back... but I wasn't really paying attention. Once Roger came in, I just assumed he was the dad! Will have to rewatch :-). --Kanamekun 08:28, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
I believe she told Sarah that the baby wasn't David's. - Nx1701g 16:45, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
Ah just watched it again — you're right. At 30:22, she tells Sarah, "David doesn't know. It's not his." --Kanamekun 17:47, 9 December 2008 (UTC)

Speaking of, someone pull the cast-list/credits from the episode, I'm fairly certain the future/daughter baby is named "Cindy". Fulongamer 19:44, 9 December 2008 (UTC)

The girl's name is Sydney. It is said so on the official blog. Darth Raivon 17:40, 10 December 2008 (UTC)

Cameron knocks out Roger (nitpick)[]

The scene is funny (even more funny if she really had killed him *ahem*), but her comment - "He's human?" - does not make that much sense: After her tough brawls with the Terminator outside she should know how the machine looks like and recognize that Roger is not the Terminator (even from behind). And of couse would a Terminator not get knocked out by her attack. -Wikicide 13:31, 30 January 2009 (UTC)

Cameron's knockout[]

As we learned in Terminator, time is relative. While in "Samson & Delilah" the 2 min reboot time is over after one real minute, Cameron is here still lying on the ground unconscious after more than 2 minutes. (I was wondering at all why she went offline, because the damage does not seem that much.) -Wikicide 15:15, 30 January 2009 (UTC)

Sarah's Accident[]

It is difficult to believe that while getting distracted they had an accident. It is much more possible that the terminator himself provoked the crash in order to stop whoever was going out. After all, it is mentioned that that road is the only way out, so the terminator could have deducted that most probably, the Fields family were the ones in the car.
