T-801

The term "Heavy Combat Unit" should not be confused with Heavy Combat Chassis.

The CSM-101-E T-801 Terminator is a variant of the Series 800 Terminator and a ground-based bipedal heavy combat/assault unit. It is a high-capacity heavy combat chassis with adaptive repair subroutines and damaged system rerouting capabilities with improved enemy target acquisition systems. The T-801 is designated as the Heavy Combat Unit, developed by Skynet.

In the novel Terminator Hunt, there is a reprogrammed T-850 Terminator called "Glitch" is sometime referred as a T-801. In addition, the T-800 from the film Terminator 2: Judgment Day is said to be a T-801. It is possible a result of the confusion between CSM-101 and T-800, much similar to the usage of T-101.
