The T-690 Cyberdyne Systems Series 600 Infiltration Unit, also known as T-690 Alpha Prototype and "Zombie," is an early iteration in the Cyberdyne Systems Series 700.[1]
Specification[]
The T-690 prototypes consisted of Terminator endoskeletons encased in the flayed remains of human subjects. These macabre creations were stitched back together and sustained through nutrient baths. Despite their inhuman appearance, the T-690 units only revealed their true nature in close proximity, although dogs easily sniffed them out. The T-690 was built using a first-generation light titanium frame covered by a plastic hypodermis, layered with muscle, fat, and necrotic skin sourced from various donors.[1]
Mission profile[]
T-690s often embarked on infiltration missions while donning the faces of individuals known to their targets. Skynet paid little attention to concealing the evident surgical scars often accompanying the implementation process. The sight of these deformed, lumbering, reanimated allies were a stark reminder of Skynet’s cruelty.[1]
History[]
The T-700 was a pivotal advancement in Terminator technology, the first model to closely resemble a human being. However, the transition from the T-600 and its rubber skin to the T-700 and its nearly flawless disguise ran into many challenges. T-690s were an ultimately unsuccessful proof of concept, and the next generation of living tissue infiltrators would become increasingly sophisticated.[1]
