Ever since The Terminator, the first Terminator film, nearly every main Terminator character, sometimes even human characters, wears sunglasses in a Terminator fiction.
Sunglasses can be used to cover an exposed optical sensor(s), or "Terminator's eye(s)", in case of living tissue is badly damaged.[1][2]
