The Skynet Control Chip within Marcus Wright's head
A Hybrid is monitored and possibly able to be controlled via a Skynet Control Chip attached to the back of head, much like an I-950 Infiltrator from the T2 Trilogy timeline. This implant enables Skynet act like a Big Brother, allowing Skynet to use a Hybrid as a window through which to view the anything seen by a Hybrid, even subtly controlling.
Hybrids could also be assigned to a field unit, such as a Collaborator, that would have operational control over the units during operations — such as Remy Lajard. A Hybrid can access and synchronize with the Skynet interface presumably via the implanted chip by using the hand. Later units were able to connect to the Skynet interface without direct link, similar to standard Terminators.
History[]
Marcus Wright was activated by Skynet after the attack on Skynet VLA as an approach to infiltrate Resistance and get close to John Connor. Marcus defied Skynet, however, and tore the device from his head, removing Skynet's access to control over him. Terminator Salvation
Notes[]
- Skynet Control Chip could be derived from CyberCensus and IndentiChip.
- However, even without the implanted chip, a T-H unit can still manage to connect with Skynet via cerebral contact, even be remote controlled.[1][2][3] Though, it is unknown if this is a possible error by the creative team of the comic.
