In the United States of America, SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics) teams are a special law enforcement team that uses military weapons and tactics to either suppress riots or engage violent confrontations with criminals. In the Terminator fictions, SWAT are typically deployed to engage armed Terminator units in the present days.
SWAT in Terminator[edit | edit source]
Terminator 2: Judgment Day[edit | edit source]
A SWAT team was deployed at the Cyberdyne building to engage the T-800, Sarah Connor, John Connor, and Miles Dyson. While preparing the explosives at the headquarters, Sarah Connor and Miles Dyson were confronted by the SWAT team, shooting and mortally wounding Dyson, while Sarah Connor engaged the SWAT and later dodged their attack before being saved by the T-800. After Sarah Connor escaped the room, the SWAT team examined the room and found a dying Dyson struggling to breathe while holding a C4 detonator, realizing this, the SWAT leader ordered the team to fall back immediately. After Sarah and the group made it to a elevator before the explosives detonated, the group was again confronted and shot with tear gas with a riot gun by the same SWAT team, prompting the T-800 to injure each of the SWAT officers with a pistol and a riot gun. The T 800 then stole a SWAT van and plunged it through the building in order to help the Connors. While the trio escaped in a SWAT van, a SWAT officer tried to stop them with a shotgun.
The Terminator: The Enemy Within[edit | edit source]
SWAT team was deployed outside the Cyberdyne factory.
Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines[edit | edit source]
A SWAT team was deployed and entered the mausoleum where Sarah Connor had stored her weapons before her death. The T-850 broke through a window and opened fire at the team with a M1919 machine gun while also holding Sarah Connor's coffin on its left shoulder, making sure it did not kill any officers afterwards.
Terminator 3: Fragmented[edit | edit source]
Terminator Dreams[edit | edit source]
Terminator: Revolution[edit | edit source]
A SWAT team was deployed at the scene where the T-Infinity was fighting the T-850 Squad. After the battle, the SWAT leader demanded the T-Infinity not to move, while the machine neglected him. The SWAT team opened fire from behind, but no bullets hit the T-Infinity.
