The T-800 on his mission to find and protect John Connor
Resistance members, including human and reprogrammed Terminators, are sometimes given a mission to protect another person and prevent the subject from suffering harm or damage.
On some occasions, Skynet will send Terminators to protect key persons responsible for the creation of itself.
