Production I.G (株式会社プロダクション・アイジー) is a Japanese animation studio.
History[]
Production I.G. started as the joint collaboration of producer Mitsuhisa Ishikawa and character designer Takayuki Goto. The company was established on 1987 as I.G Tatsunoko and was renamed to Production I.G on 1993.[1]
Production I.G has produced a number of acclaimed feature films, such as Ghost in the Shell (1995), Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade (1999), and the animation sequences of Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Vol. 1.[1]
Production I.G and the Terminator franchise[]
In 2023, Production I.G announced their involvement in an upcoming Terminator anime series for Netflix. The series, co-produced with Skydance Media, would be written and produced by Matt Tomlin and directed by Masashi Kudo. [2] The series, Terminator Zero, was released on August 29th, 2024.
