Operation Chrono was a decisive battle against Skynet where the Resistance captured its headquarters at Cheyenne Mountain in the War Against the Machines in 2029 in T2 Trilogy timeline as the North American Resistance launch an all-out assault on Skynet's defense grid in Colorado. However, Skynet decided to terminate John Connor in the past and sent a T-800 Terminator to 1984 to kill Sarah Connor as well as a T-1000 Terminator to 1995 to kill John Connor.
John Connor asked for a volunteer and sent Kyle Reese (age 27) back to 1984 to protect Sarah. He then ordered Snog to reprogram a T-800 and send it back to 1995 to protect his younger self. Both Sarah Connor and Dieter von Rossbach oversaw Reese and the T-800 being sent back the past.
