Mac Hannah was a Vietnam vet who for years had tracked the Terminator known as Rubberface.[1]
History[]
Mac Hannah, a long-bearded, one-eyed man, had been a pathfinder during the Vietnam War. In the 1980s, he lived in a run-down basement apartment where he collected evidence for his multiple conspiracy theories. He often carried a beat-up cardboard sign that read "WANNA KNOW THE TRUTH?" and eagerly expounded on all sorts of outlandish conspiracy theories to anyone who would listen.[1]
His primary fixation was on a rubber-faced man whom he believed was behind a series of murders that the police saw as unrelated. His friend Jerry, a heavy drinker who lived underneath a birdge, had witnessed the arrival of a rubber-faced man on Earth in a sack made of grizzly bear skin. Mac was convinced that this creature was the Rubberface killer and that the authorities had initially tried to conceal the truth. Mac had even traced Rubberface's whereabouts to a scrapyard complex along a desolate stretch of highway.[1]
One Halloween evening in the 1980s, Mac encountered a group of time-displaced Resistance soldiers who were on the hunt for Rubberface. Excited that someone was finally taking his theories seriously, Mac shared his research with them. After being interrogated by two police officers in connection to a shootout the previous night, Mac met the soldiers at a storage unit, offering them his weapon arsenal and firmly believing that they could end Rubberface's reign of terror. As he spoke, Rubberface, perched on a nearby hill, fatally shot him in the head with a sniper rifle.[1]
Personality[]
Mac Hannah was a raving lunatic. Although he was right about the existence of Rubberface, he also insisted that the government had covered up alien abductions and that corporations pumped mind-control drugs into the water. Before his death, Mac felt that his fight had abandoned him and was happy to be able to pass his mission on to new blood.[1]
