Kill//Switch is a scenario for the The Terminator RPG written by Paul Baldowski. It is one of the fifteen curated scenarios included in The Terminator RPG Campaign Book.

Publisher Summary[]

A scenario inspired by the Graphic Novel: Enemy of my Enemy.

This scenario serves as a companion piece to the graphic novel Enemy of My Enemy. The PCs are on a mission to retrieve information about an Infiltrator weakness when they are shot down and overwhelmed by a Terminator battalion.

Mission Briefing: North of the charred remains of Ithaca city, not far from the skull-glutted shores of Cayuga Lake, the PCs must fight their way out of a desperate situation after their transport comes under fire from an HK-Aerial and multiple HK-Drones. They must reach the site of a ruined compound where they are to recover their current objective.

Plot summary[]

Following data retrieved during their Moscow mission[1], Tech-Com has sent the Player Characters to upstate New York to locate a pre-war Rothlake weapons research facility. Their mission is to secure the Fong Report from the old mainframes at the facility. The Fong Report contains crucial information needed to disrupt the Terminator's flesh farms and expose their ability to blend in with humanity.

Shortly after finding the site near Ithaca, NY, the PC's transport helicopter is shot down by an attacking HK-Aerial. Escaping from hordes of HK-Drones, the PCs reach the hangar of the Rothlake facility and continue through the administrative block until they reach a reinforced bunker. After finding a way to open the doors, the PCs locate the Fong Report, but face a massive wave of machine attacks led by multiple T-800s, along with T-000s, HK-Aerials and HK-Drones. The Skynet army destroys the Rothlake facility. Under pressure and fire, the PCs transmit the Fong Report and are eventually overrun. As the T-800s prepare to execute them, a time wave hits, and the entire army is erased from existence. After being evacuated, the confused PCs are met by Captain Wisher, who recruits them into the Time Displacement Commandos.

Notes[]

  • If the PCs restore power to the bunker, they can activate several ancient Myrmidon Artificial Soldiers and utilize them to fight the invading Terminator.
  • After the time shift, the Fong Report ceases to exist and becomes "the Rothlake Collaborator Report." This may be the effect of the actions of the T-800 who killed Elise Fong in the past.[2]
