A T-1000 unit was sent back in time to ensure the creation of Skynet.[1]
History[]
This T-1000 unit was dispatched from 2029 to 1994 alongside two T-800 units on the eve of the Resistance's final assault on Cheyenne Mountain.[1] Tasked with ensuring the creation of Skynet, the trio materialized on Route 99 near Bakersfield, triggering a chaotic multiple-vehicle collision.[2] In the aftermath, all individuals involved in the accident, including an unwitting woman, fell victim to the Terminator trio, with the T-1000 assuming her identity through replication.[3]
Their journey continued to Los Angeles, where the Terminators eliminated several gang members and acquired their weapons cache. Subsequently, the trio pursued separate missions. The two T-800s headed to find and terminate John Connor, but the T-1000 went to Wilmington steel mill, where it killed and replicated FBI special agent Karyn Stern. Under that guise, it infiltrated NetWork Developments, exploiting its new position as an FBI agent to relay crucial information regarding the Connors to the two T-800 units.[3]
The situation escalated when Sarah Connor herself appeared at the Simi Vallery facility, willingly surrendering in search of answers.[4] The T-1000 and Vincent Spasky, Stern's FBI partner, interrogated Connor, who threatened to expose the truth publicly with Tarissa Dyson's help. The T-1000 feigned to acquiesce to Sarah and took her to see NetWork Developments' secret: the stored remains of twenty-seven Terminators. Sarah begged them to destroy them, triggering Spasky's anger. The T-1000 sent Spasky out of the room to cool off and, once alone with Sarah, shed its fabricated identity and impersonated Sarah herself.[5]
A fight started between Sarah and her counterpart. The T-1000 soon started killing FBI agents, Spasky included. Seizing an opportunity, Sarah lured the T-1000 into a chemical analysis lab. Recognizing the vulnerability of the T-1000 to a specific solvent, 27B/6, Sarah doused the T-1000 on it, leading to the termination of the Terminator.[6]
Personality[]
The T-1000 unit had some limited social interaction skills, which allowed it act natural when communicating with real Karyn Stern's co-workers and partner Vincent Spasky. When it interrogated Sarah, it feigned to acquiesce, showing an ability of planning and disguising. During infiltration, though not adept, it faked a set of emotions including wide smiles and annoyance, when being destroyed however, the T-1000 showed real fear.
It's uncertain that T-1000 would continue its replication if Sarah did't come to Simi Valley facilities and two T-800 units were terminated. If so, it might completely replace Karyn's position to help the FBI with the reverse-engineering for preserving the creation of Skynet.

Notes[]
- Terminator 2: Judgment Day - Nuclear Twilight has the events of Terminator 2: Judgment Day happen in 1994 instead of the accepted date of 1995, ten years after John Connor's birthdate. As Terminator 2: Judgment Day - Cybernetic Dawn starts one day after the film, the events of the comic are therefore also placed in 1994.
- The name of the solvent 27B/6 that killed the T-1000 is a reference to Form 27B-6, a plot device in Terry Gilliam's Brazil, itself a reference to George Orwell's address.
- The T-1000 changed its clothes three times in three days, wearing pink in issue #2, white in issue #3, and yellow in issues #4 and #0.
- The T-1000 doesn't seem to have a default human appearence, using Karyn Stern as its usual disguise like T-1001 in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. On the contrary, it has a feminine blank form, unlike T-1001 whose blank form is just like a faceless and nonsexual humanoid figure.
- There's a minor mistake that T-1000 used Time Displacement Equipment without an organic appearence (like Catherine Weaver when transporting to future) or wrapped in living tissue.
