History[edit | edit source]

Original timeline[edit | edit source]

On March 29, 2026, John Connor ordered Dr. Edwin Mack to research and experiment on Terminator reprogramming.

Before the destruction of Skynet's Central Core, Skynet, the supercomputer mainframe of the machines, decided that John Connor was the one of the focal points of the resistance movement and his termination would end the opposition. After repeated failures at terminating John during the war, Skynet decided to use a Time Displacement Device to send Terminators to various points in the past in an attempt to terminate him before the war even begins.

After the destruction of Skynet's Central Core, the Resistance discovered that Skynet had sent a T-800, a T-1000, and a T-850 to assassinate Sarah Connor, young John Connor, and Jacob Rivers in the past.

Connor had Kyle Reese sent to 1984 to protect Sarah Connor and a reprogrammed T-800 to 1995 to protect his younger self from the T-1000. He might ask Jacob Rivers to go back to past to protect Rivers' past self. Terminator: Resistance

Resistance timeline[edit | edit source]

At a certain point, Sergeant Jacob Rivers was told that John Connor was waiting for him. Rivers gladly gave Connor the Coordinate of Skynet's Central Core, while Connor explained everything to him about the Infiltrator, the "Stranger", and told Rivers that both of their past selves were being marked for termination.

After the destruction of Skynet's Central Core, Sergeant Rivers asked John Connor about the situation, in which John told him that the 124th Division destroyed the Central Core and had stopped Skynet. On the way to the TDE chamber, Connor told Rivers about the three protectors sent to the past and asked him if he would be willing to travel back in time to save his past self while noting him that he might not survive.
