"Hasta La Vista, Baby." is a famous line from the Terminator franchise. The American Film Institute lists it as the #76 top movie quote of all time in its "100 Years...100 Movie Quotes".
Usage[]
- The phrase is first featured in the film Terminator 2: Judgment Day when John Connor was teaching T-800. Later, the T-800 says the phrase again prior to shattering the frozen T-1000 with a gunshot.
- In Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, John Connor uses the phrase while talking to the Terminator, thinking it was the same Terminator he met before. The machine replies that it was a different T-101.
- As a promotion for the film Terminator: Dark Fate, the line "Hasta la vista" is used by Carl for the outgoing voice message of Carl's Draperies.
Quote[]
- John Connor: No, no, no, no. You gotta listen to the way people talk. You don't say "affirmative", or some shit like that. You say "no problemo". And if someone comes on to you with an attitude you say "eat me". And if you want to shine them on it's "hasta la vista, baby".
- T-800: Hasta la vista, baby.
