The Cyberdyne Systems Series V Autonomous V/STOL Interceptor Aircraft, also known as the HK-Jet, is a supersonic Aerial Hunter Killer deployed by Skynet.
Specification[]
The HK-Jet is a cutting-edge supersonic drone fighter equipped with a shielded tactical flight computer instead of a traditional cockpit. This autonomous Vertical/Short Takeoff and Landing interceptor can launch vertically from confined spaces and from very short runways. With a maximum speed reaching Mach 4, the HK-Jet boasts advanced detection capabilities, being able to detect other aircraft at a range of 100 kilometers. If connected to HK-Satellites, this range can be further extended.[1]
Unencumbered by human physiological limitations, the HK-Jet shows extraordinary agility, being able to execute mid-flight spins while firing its plasma cannons. This unmatched maneuverability poses a substantial challenge for human-controlled fighters, which risk endangering their pilots in attempts to outmaneuver the HK-Jet. Skynet uses this tactic as a last resort due to the potential for structural damage after repeated use during the same engagement.[1]
Mission Profile[]
In response to the threat posed by the Time Displacement Commandos, Skynet 2.0 enhanced a few HK-Jets with additional heat shielding, dispatching them into orbit to serve as transorbital interceptors and delivery vehicles.[1]
