Farrow Greene is an ex-CIA operative who encountered a Terminator.

History[]

When she was a teenager, Farrow Greene's parents left her little brother Titus under her care. When Titus insisted on going to a couple streets over to hang with his friend Mario and play a new videogame, Farrow decided to let him go. Titus never made it to Mario's house and was never seen again. The disappearance of her brother left Farrow with deep-seated self-doubt issues.[1]

Farrow would later join the CIA and become a valuable agent, being part of the strike team for an infamous CIA operation called Operation Canary.[2] Most of her CIA missions in the 1970s and early 1980s were classified, but involved terrorists, drug lords, and even religious prophets.[3]

In 1984, Farrow was a CIA agent stationed in Paris, France. Fellow CIA agent Stafford arrived with a secret mission that he refused to share with her. Farrow, not trusting Stafford, followed him to a public park, where she saw the agent exchanging an envelope with known KGB agent Dmitri Grishin. The following night, Farrow followed Stafford to a meeting with Grishin and accidentally blew his cover, getting him killed. Farrow's superior contacted her explaining that Grishin was a double agent and what her thoughtless actions had cost the CIA. Instead of surrendering to the CIA, Farrow decided to go rogue and become a bounty hunter.[4]

One year later, in 1985, Farrow captured a fellow bounty hunter that tried to catch her for the CIA, the last in a series of many. After returning to her safehouse, Farrow accepted a job from Stockridge Pharmaceuticals: 1.5 million dollars to find a Dr. Elise Fong. Farrow tracked Elise to her Manhattan appartment, but she was interrupted by the sudden arrival of an indestructible assailant bent on killing Fong. Farrow managed to hold the newcomer back in hand-to-hand combat as Fong escaped, and discovered that the assailant was a cyborg when she shot it in the head, revealing the metal endoskeleton laying under the skin. Farrow managed to push the Terminator out of a window and escaped before the police arrived.[5]

A shaken Farrow called Ben, one of her remaining CIA contacts, and asked about what she'd just seen, wondering if the metal skull could be some kind of subdermal body armor, and Ben promised to look into it.[5] Later, Farrow tracked Fong down once again, finding her outside a pawn shop. Farrow threw the woman in her car's trunk and took her to an abandoned high school. Even though she was supposed to be taking Fong to Stockridge Pharmaceuticals, she wanted to know what she had gotten into. Doctor Fong explained that she had been working with skin grafts and had developed a manufacturing technique for artificial skin that could be grown in vats; to control the growth of this skin, Fong had designed a virus that would necrotize the tissue. Their conversation was interrupted by the Terminator, that crashed a helicopter on Farrow's car and pursued the women through the empty school halls. After Farrow and the Terminator had their second close fight, Fong was captured by agents of Rothlake, a mercenary group, who had been alerted by the corrupt Ben of the apparition of the cyborg.[6]

Some time later, Farrow changed her clothing and hair color and bought a new gun from a dealer, probably intending to disappear, but was found by the Terminator. The Terminator chased Farrow to a nearby construction site, where she finally realized that she couldn't defeat the machine. Deciding on a new approach, Farrow offered the Terminator an alliance: she would take it to Rothlake and it would help her take their well-armed men down. Once they'd found Fong, they could settle who got her. The Terminator, deeming the arrangement logical, agreed to this temporary alliance.[1] Farrow and the Terminator assaulted the Rothridge facility, where they found primitive yet powerful combat androids, and Farrow and the Terminator were defeated and captured.[2] Ben smugly explained that Rothlake had reverse-engineered the remains of the 1984 Terminator to build these androids, but that now that they had a full operational Terminator they would be able to discover where they came from. Suddenly, the Terminator broke free of its chains and freed Farrow, who killed Ben. The duo fought through the Rothlake androids and killed the operative that was remote-controlling them, chasing after Rothlake agents that were taking Fong out of the facility. After dispatching the mercenaries, Farrow pinned the Terminator under her jeep and escaped with Fong, calling their arrangement finished.[4]

Farrow commandeered a plane and escaped with Fong, mulling about her tendence to break promises. The Terminator, having commandeered its own plane, forced Farrow and Fong to parachute into a saw mill. Running towards the nearby suburbs, Farrow and Fong stole a car and got ready to escape the area, when Farrow saw a building on fire and numerous victims. Realizing that the Terminator was fulfilling its previous promise to cause significant collateral damage if she reneged on her promise, Farrow decided to confront the machine. Farrow prepared an ambush and faced the Terminator, but was unable to put a dent on it until Doctor Fong decided that she was tired of running and rammed it with the stolen car. Farrow made a water tower collapse on the Terminator, destroying its living tissue cover, and finally terminated the machine by dragging it to the nearby railroad. Before the train obliterated it, the Terminator told Farrow that it had kept his promise too, and Farrow realized with horror that the machine had mortally wounded Fong when she had crashed the car against it. Fong, with her dying words, asked Farrow to make good choices from that point on, as she was actually a good woman.[7]

Six weeks later, Farrow Greene, with a new change of looks, promised herself that from that point on she would devote her life to finding all the truths that a lot of powerful people didn't want anyone to know.[7]
