Evans is a Resistance ranger and a member of Kyle Reese's Tech-Com squad.
History[]
Evans was a large, quiet man. At some point he was a prisoner at a Skynet research facility, where he became familiar with HK-Centurions. He was rescued from the facility by John Connor himself. During the escape, Connor looked at him with suspicion for a couple of seconds, making Evans both worried and angry. In his way out of the facility, he took his anger out on a T-800, destroying it with his bare hands.[1]
Evans joined the Resistance, but he wanted to meet Connor again, to ask him why he had given him that look. His defeat of a T-800 barehanded became legendary among the Resistance. At one point in 2029, he became the last survivor of his division. He transferred to Jessica Baron's division, and just a few days later he was ordered to join Kyle Reese's team. Evans joined both Jacob Rivers and Charlotte Ferro in a fateful mission to Northridge, to search and rescue human prisoners behind Skynet's Annihilation Line. Evans was not happy about crossing over to Skynet territory and was very vocal about it, but his opposition disappeared as soon as he found out their secret objective was to rescue Frank Rivers. That, rescuing a comrade's father, made sense to him.[1]
Evans followed Reese's lead past the Annihilation Line, tracking Frank Rivers to a Skynet factory. Once within, the team discovered a whole rack of deactivated Infiltrators wearing Evans' face. Ferro initially accused him of being a Terminator, but Reese revealed his team the truth: during his time in captivity, Evans had unwittingly become the template for a new living tissue sheath: Cyberdyne Systems Model 102. Evans and the rest of the team blew the factory up, with Evans personally destroying one of the Terminators that had stolen his face. He knew why Connor hadn't trusted him: he didn't understand how, but Connor had known.[1]
Evans and the rest of the team headed to the prison camp where Evans and the other prisoners were actually being held, discovering during the approach that several civilians had escaped from the camp. During the mission, he coordinated the evacuation of civilians while Kyle and Charlotte went to blow up an HK-Tank. When Rivers radioed that Kyle was pinned down by an HK-Aerial, Evans jumped into the team's car and drove to his rescue. When Kyle jumped into the car, Evans switched his position to control the machine gun, firing back against the HK-Aerial in an effort to take it down. However, Evans was killed the moment the HK-Aerial's lasers hit the car and caused it to crash.[1]
Trivia[]
- During the final stages of the mission in Terminator: Resistance [Annihilation Line], Evans can be seen from a distance from Rivers' point-of-view firing on the HK-Tank. This scene was previously shown as part of Kyle's second dream in The Terminator.
- Evans actor in the original film is uncredited, but he is portrayed by Glenn Wrage in Annihilation Line.
