E.F.P. or Explosively Formed Penetrator is an anti-armor technology that is used by the Resistance to disable, damage, or even destroy the largest units Skynet fields in The Future War. The construction of such devices is not difficult, and was a common weapon in the wars of the late 20th and early 21st centuries.
Essentially, an explosive shaped charge is placed behind a cone of metal, like copper. Upon detonation, the metal cone is turned into a high speed projectile of superheated molten metal, capable of piercing the heaviest armor. Placement of the devices can vary the angle of attack to obtain the best penetration of the target, whether vertical, horizontal, or at an angle.
