Dynamite Entertainment is an American comic book publisher.

History[]

Dynamite Entertainment was founded in 2004. It focused on adaptations of licensed properties, but has published creator-owned comics like The Boys.[1] Currently they hold the rights to publish titles based on films (Army of Darkness, Darkman and Highlander), television series (both original and modern Battlestar Galactica and Xena: Warrior Princess) and literature (Red Sonja and Re-Animator).[2]

Dynamite Entertainment and the Terminator Franchise[]

Dynamite produced the Terminator 2: Infinity comics, starting in June 2007, including the crossover Painkiller Jane vs. Terminator.

On 8th April 2024, to coincide with the 40th Anniversary of The Terminator, Dynamite launched a crowd funding campaign via BackerKit for a series of prestige graphic novels reprinting the back catalogue of Terminator comics in chronological order for the first time.[3]

Dynamite also returned to publishing new Terminator comics, first with the ten-issue series The Terminator and then with its sequel The Terminator: Metal.
