The company installs drapes, likely manufacturing them as well. The small business was started by Carl at a certain point after finishing his mission priority.
It is unknown what fate the business suffered, due to the destruction of Carl, though the business could likely still be running with Carl's family.

The number is a reference to 1984-05-12, the date spoken by Michael Nydefer to Kyle Reese in The Terminator. In the film, the phone number is shown as 800-555-0199.
