Bethesda Softworks is an American video game publisher that has created many games for the Terminator franchise, beginning with The Terminator in 1990.

Bethesda Softworks was founded in 1985 in Bethesda, Maryland, by Christopher Weaver.[1] In 1989, they moved their base of operations to Rockville, MD. They notably produce the video game series The Elder Scrolls.
