Alex Akagi is the owner of Dakara Systems and the father of Xander Akagi. His wife, Emma, was killed in a car accident in 1984 and he raised his son on his own. He hired a group of actors to portray investors in an effort to acquire funding for his son's Artificial intelligence project "Emma" as they had missed the Air Force deadline. Alex deeply cared for his son; however, he had trouble understanding him because of his enhanced intelligence.
